Acclimation (mfg)

Landed in Lisbon and explored the city in the rain. We were charmed. Loved climbing hills and stairs, looking down at sidewalk and plaza tiles, around at building tiles, and smiling at street art.

Lisbon streets are clogged. Maps often gave same arrival times for driving or walking to downtown Lisbon locations. Despite the congestion, no one honked in frustration at other cars or even when silly tourists stepped into the street to get better perspective for a photo

We also accomplished what we came here to do. First stamp is in the Camino passport! Said a prayer and lit candles at Cathedral Se. Were feeling more like tourists than pilgrims, but haven’t started our walk yet. Train to Santarem tomorrow, with first 20 miler the next day.
