Jesse Kornbluth

Jesse Kornbluth’s writing advice:

1.    If you want to write, get started and keep going.

2.    Diaries have a purpose, though no place in publishing. Keep diary entries to yourself. Share your point of view with readers who care about what you have to say.

3.    Edit your work ruthlessly.

My friend, Jesse, died last week. I only knew him for 12 years, not long enough.
After we moved from the city, visits to New York always included lunch or coffee with him.
I’ll miss those, our random texts, emails, occasional calls and, of course, his
Head Butler posts.

I’ll miss his generous friendship, the way he encouraged me to think deeper, his appreciation for music, especially for the words that shaped the songs.

Thank you, Jesse.

Your memory will always be a blessing.
